Fitness & Films #16: The Terminator

As anyone who has seen a Terminator film knows, if the robots try to take over the world, there isn't much we can do. No amount of weight lifting wil ensure your safety against a Cyberdyne T-800. Sorry, Skynet doesn't care how buff you are.

But, since today is not Judgement Day, you better get off that sofa and do a little bit of exercising. Watch the films really closely- ever see any unhealthy-looking people in The Resistance? Didn't think so!

The Terminator Workout
- created to be used with all the Terminator films

1. Anyone says "Connor": 5 pushups
2. You see things from the point of view of the Terminator: 30 second plank (or until they return to a normal view, whichever lasts longer)
3. Anyone mentions "Judgement Day": 30 second wall sit
4. You see the Terminator's glowing red eyes: 1 burpee
5. The red light in the eyes goes out: 20 tricep dips
6. Anyone says "Skynet": 20 v-sits
7. Arnold says of of his iconic quotes  ex. "Hasta La Vista Baby": 20 sit-ups
8. One of the Connors complains about being part of the prophecy/ having to save the world/ being chosen: 15 lunges
9. Any time a Terminator dies, just to come back to life: 30 second side plank (both sides)
10. A Terminator dies for good: 50 calf raises

Any other ideas? Have fun, and stick with it- you never know when the machines might take control!
